Michael is a part-time MS student researching in the MLDS lab. Michael works full time as a flight dynamics engineer at a.i. solutions, Inc. supporting spaceflight missions based out of the Goddard Space Flight Center in Greenbelt, Maryland. He has provided engineering support for a variety of NASA missions including: Landsat, JPSS, the James Webb Space Telescope (JWST), and the Nancy Grace Roman Space telescope (RST). Michael is currently researching how to employ machine and reinforcement learning for use in the guidance, navigation, and control of spacecraft; specifically to determine the feasibility of autonomous maneuver planning for deep space missions. When not studying or working, Michael enjoys spending time traveling, hiking, camping, photography, stargazing, chess, and cooking. Michael has also begun learning Japanese after a recent trip to Japan.
